Road Dog Jackson
Tracy Furlong (Vocals / everything) (Founder

They say that girls can multi task - well in musical terms Tracy has it all and we will miss her greatly!

She could belt out a lead vocal as strong as any and in the next breath sigh a sweet melody. Her harmonies were a wonder and irreplaceable!

It would be closer to say what didn't she play and that amounts to sax and drums so a real 'all round superstar'.

You could say that to some degree Tracy was our Musical Director. Whenever the band were working out songs in the studio Tracy would soon put her remarkable skill and musical prowess to great effect by telling us exactly how it goes and then explain so everyone got it. I guess at heart she's still a great music teacher!

A testament to her musical ability remains within our recording of 'Don't Stop Me Now' in which I think Tracy penned some 8 harmonies for the recording of course translated to sound to make up for the ineptitude of the lead vocalist.

Tracy's Old Profile:

For some strange reason Tracy doesn't have a silly nickname. She's glad & sad in equal measures.

Raised on gospel music & voodoo in South Carolina, Tracy claims she was singing with her family even before she was born. Though you will usually find her behind the keyboards or guitar, she is the first to tell you her singing, whether soulful or sweet, romantic or raunchy, is her first love.

Tracy writes: "Being in RDJ was a dream itself - one I could never have lived in my little old Southern American hometown. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Classical Music, but I'm more proud of what I've done with my fellow 'dawgs' than anything I did at the university. I would like to thank all of them: Paul (my sweet Baby Puppy), Terry, Phil, Colin, Steve and Rich for allowing me to grow and become a better musician - there will never be another band like RDJ in my life and I know what I had with these guys is unique and precious and I'm so grateful. Finally, a HUGE thank you to everyone who came and cheered us on, especially the Merry Men and Women from the Robin Hood. I wish I could take you all back with me. Good luck and God bless!"
